Gran Turismo 5: FINALLY!

Anyone else excited for Gran Turismo 5 like I am???

Finally slated for November 24th release. After being pushed back COUNTLESS times, we finally had a release date for Nov 2. I reserved and paid for 3 Collectors Editions. Yes, THREE....

Then it was cancelled. Release dates were all over the place. Many were saying New Years Eve. Some, before Christmas.

Now, the final word and final date, Nov 24th. And the folks at Gamestop Hawaii Kai will be doing an EPIC midnight relesase. Dare I say it, this is the biggest PS3 release to date.

Call of Duty Black Ops: Gamestop Hawaii Kai

Guess what folks, its that time again...

The newest title in the Call of Duty franchise by Treyarch and Activision is set to release at midnite, on November 9th.

Ryan and his crew at Gamestop Hawaii Kai will surely be able to handle your request for the biggest first person shooter this year. But don't forget to head down early!!

The Hawaii Kai Gamestop staff will be staying open past its normal closing time of 9pm to handle trade ins, payoffs, and last minute reservations. Lines will begin forming at 11pm and the first person will be able to enter the store to grab their copy at 12am.

I attended the previous CODMW2 release, and I got there at 1130, and the line was already to the entrance to Ross. But rest assured, the HK staff will get you in and out as fast as possible so you can start shooting!!

Its been roughly a month since we've started Ace Clothing Designs, and now its about time for a bio of the staff!! Currently there are 4 people on the Ace staff. The owner and graphic artist, the marketing/promo guy, the fashion director, and finally our photographer! Our backgrounds are diverse. We all have our day jobs and Ace is our after hours gig. So without further ado...

26 year old male of the human species from Honolulu, Hawaii. Currently employed at a local financial institution. Started Ace Clothing Designs as a side project to help the world become more stylish. A few definitions of the word 'ace' - world class, top-rate, number one. A wearer of Ace Clothing is a wearer of world class fashion. Inspiration for designs come from random thoughts that pop into my amazing man-brain, and things I come across during my everyday adventures in life.

26 year old born in Kumamoto Japan, but grew up in Hawaii Kai. I really have no fashion experience...Yup! As the marketing/promo guy it's my duty to promote the label. Ace Clothing appeals to a broad demographic and offers clothing for all ages! As someone who is into the car scene, having Ace sponsor Hawaii Accord Owners Club allowed us to reach a greater audience. I hope to further promote the Ace label with our various models who we'll be featuring in the near future rocking our line.

First Photoshoot

A few weeks ago we had a photoshoot for the retirement of our Marketing/Promo Dude's car and we did some test shoots for a possible locaiton for models. Yes yes only now we are posting it, BUSY BUSY!

This car has been an off and on build for over 5 years and supposedly, it is now retired and soon to be parted out. Knowing the owner, it will just be built again in a few months...Our promo dude is also the President/CEO of Hawaii Accord Owners Club and their home can be found at Postjunky.com

Ace Clothing was proud to sponser HAOC at their most recent showing at SpoCom at the Blaisdel where we also had our debut of the clothing line. Future HAOC cars and other sick rides will surely be featured and sponsored by Ace!

Model Scouting

Hi Folks!! Sorry for the lack of updating. But all of us here at Ace Clothing have been rather busy busy busy!! Last weekend we hit up both University of Hawaii at Manoa as well as Hawaii Pacific University downtown and walked around in the hot sun for HOURS! We used our time well by putting up various flyers and announcements across the campus on the various bulletin boards. We've recieved some great response.

Just this week we hard our first offical model shoot for Ace Clothing Designs. Our model is a local asian girl and a very good friend of our "Marketing/Promo Guy" and a former member of Hawaii Accord Owners Club. She has built two of the sickest and well known Accords in the past few years and we were proud to have her model for us. Stay tuned for pictures folks from our official photographer, Aunty Iris!!!

As a result of the flyers at UH, we also interviewed a second girl and will be having a couple of photoshoots this weekend and rest assured, the wait will be worth it!

HAOC hosted Labor Day Cruise

The Hawaii Accord Owners Club had a Labor Day cruise on Sunday, September 5 and Ace Clothing was lucky enough to get an invite. The turnout was about 15 or so cars, rolling out from central Oahu regional park, to Matsumoto's Shave Ice, then on to Papa Ole's Kitchen for lunch, and finally ending at Windward Mall. Thanks to Bryson for the great photos and thanks to HAOC for the invite! We had a lot of fun and it was great meeting everyone. Here are some pics from the cruise. Enjoy!

Welcome to Ace Clothing Designs!

The name 'Ace' came about for a few reasons. The term 'Ace' has a number of meanings, including: world class; top-rate; and number one. This represents my goal of always being the best at what I do. Also, I've always had a fascination with playing cards. Which is why in many of the designs, the word 'ace' is written in the shape of a spade. The original concepts and designs started about 3-4 years ago, but it never really got anywhere. Now, with a new store and some help from a good friend, Ace is back and ready to take over the world!
